Memphis May Fire and Sleeping With Sirens vocalist Kelin Quinn joined their voices to put together an acoustic video of “Miles Away”.

The video was shot on this year´s Warped Tour.

Andy Biersack Verbal Beat Down on Warped Tour

Andy Biersack, Black Veil Brides frontman, called out an audience member who was being disrespectful during the band´s Warped Tour set in San Antonio, Texas.

During a performance of ‘Let You Down,’ Andy Biersack called out a man in the San Antonio crowd who was making offensive remarks towards the band. Biersack even challenged the man to come up on stage while the crowd cheered and stood up for BVB.

After a 90 seconds speech, Black Veil Brides frontman decided to continue with the set.

“Here’s the thing,” Biersack begins. “So when I used to come to Warped Tour when I was a kid, I used to see bands and I respect the shitt out of those bands on stage and sometimes little, tiny motherfuckers like you come to a show and you stand there. Then fucking come up here and show me how fucking big you are. Come the fuckup here. Come on. Part the way. Come on. You know what’s fucking tiny about you? It might not be your body, but you’ve got a small fucking mind, so go the fuck somewhere else. I get it, I get it: we’re not heavy enough for you, we wear makeup, we’re faggy, and we’re a shitty band. What you can do about that is walk the fuck over there and not fucking listen to us. When I was a kid and I used to come here, it wasn’t about your shitty, macho attitude; it was weird kids like me who got to have fun. So what you do is you fucking ruin all this shit ’cause you think you’re way too fucking cool. I don’t give a fuck about being cool, I care about being on this fucking stage. Here’s the difference: a little fag like me tried real hard and I’ve got a fucking band. You can fucking stand there with your fucking muscles and jerk off all fucking day while I play on this fucking stage. We here don’t give a fuck what you have to say, so I’m done with you. Unless you wanna come here and show me how fucking tough you are, I don’t give a fuck about you.”

This is not the first time that Biersack has to defend his band, a similar incident happened with the Revolver Golden Gods Awards of this year when Black Veil Brides received the “Song of the Year” award, given by Sebastian Bach, while raising a mainly negative reaction from the crowd. The band went on stage, already with a defensive attitude since they were already expecting this reaction, and responded to the haters saying “You motherfuckers should have voted for somebody because Black veil Brides won 3 years in a row” and with vocalist Andy Biersack affirming “I know you all hate us but I´m holding a heavy as shit award…”. Before even receiving this award, Biersack was interviewed by Fuse's TV Jack Osbourne where he gave his view on the haters – “We evoke a lot of emotion in people, so much that they pee in a bottle and throw it at me”.

Despite the hate at the Golden Gods, the band has received a lot of support from their fan base.

Asking Alexandria Announce Summer Tour

Asking Alexandria announced a short summer U.S Midwest healing tour to celebrate the release of their upcoming new album “From Death To Destiny”.

This is the third album of Asking Alexandria and it is due out on August 6, which coincides with the first day of this brief tour.

 

The show will feature support from Motionless In White, Upon A Burning Body and Crown The Empire.

Guitarist Ben Bruce stated: "AMERICA, we're fucking back and we're better than ever, we have a very short headlining run throughout the Midwest to celebrate the release of our brand new album. From Death to Destiny. Sex, Drugs and Rock n' Roll doesn't even cut it here, so join us starting August 6 for two weeks of utter sin and debauchery. We are stoked to be back, so lets fucking do this."

Mayday Parade Finish New Album

According to Christopher Jacob, Mayday Parade´s drummer, the band has just finish recording their new album to be released via Fearless Records in Autumn 2013.

 

 

Christopher Jacob tweeted confirming the news: "And it's done. Go ahead and tell your friends the new @Mayday_Parade record has been completed. Look for it in the fall. #Boom

Mayday Parade has recorded about 15 new tracks, but only 12 of them are going to be put in this brand new album, while the remaining 3 are going to be used as b-sides.

Get Scared new song “At My Worst”

After the departure of Joel Faviere and the return of the band´s original vocalist Nicholas Matthews, Get Scared are here to stay and they proved it by releasing a brand new single “At My Worst”.

 

Get Scared are officially signed with Fearless Records and have now an album release for Fall 2013.

Today, June 21, they released the first complete single of this new album, yet nameless, on Youtube called “At My Worst”.

Last Witness Split

Last Witness confirmed their split, ending their seven-year musical career, after a string of summer shows.
 

 

The band has confirmed that before splitting, they will play one final show in London in September (the venue and the line-up are still to be confirmed).

One of their last performances was at the Download Festival of this year, on June 15, where they played at the Red Bull Stage.

Here is the band´s statement:

"It’s over. After reflecting on the future of the band, both collectively and as individuals, we have decided that this is the end of the road for Last Witness. We have achieved far more than we ever set out to seven long years ago.
The band has broadened our horizons both figuratively and literally. We have met some truly inspiring people, seen some amazing places, and had experiences (good and bad) that we’ll never forget. To everyone that has helped us along the way - there are too many people to thank - we are eternally grateful. Some things are better forgotten, but nothing lasts forever.
So this is the end. No reunions, no comebacks, no encores. Thank you for everything.

Austin Carlile stops being associated with “Aspire & Create”

Austin Carlile has stopped his affiliation with the clothing brand “Aspire & Create”, which was named after Carlile initials.

“I am no longer a part of the clothing brand “Aspire & Create.” (As many of you know was started in 2012 and named after my own initials.) Due to multiple creative differences and other unforeseen circumstances I regret to announce this… As of May 2013 I am in NO way affiliated with this company or anything involving the brand Paper Alligator as well. The name may be the same but this is NOT my company. Neither Of Mice & Men, or myself, endorse this product, wear this product, support this product, or are affiliated with it in any way whatsoever any longer. My focus the next few months will be our new record, after which I look forward to introducing my new brand. “You have many options in life, never make giving up one of them.” Cheers!”

Phil Anselmo, Down lead singer, dedicated one song to Slayer´s Jeff Hanneman who passed away at the age of 49 on May 2, 2013.

Relentless Kerrang! Awards 2013 – Winners

The Relentless Kerrang! Awards celebrated its 20^th year on Thursday 13^th June 2013, at London´s Troxy Club. The ceremony was hosted by Blink-182 bassist and lead vocalist Mark Hoppus and Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian.

 

 

There were both British and American winners on the night; among the big winners are You Me At Six, Young Guns, Biffy Clyro, Iron Maiden, Queen, Slayer and All Time Low.

Biffy Clyro took home one of the most prestigious awards of the night with the Best Album Award for their sixth studio album “Opposites”.

The Best Event Award was given to British band You Me At Six for their Final Night of Sin at the Wembley Arena, knocking out their U.S competition such as Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Dave Grohl.

Bring Me The Horizon was named Best British Band and All Time Low as Best International Band.

Rock legends Iron Maiden were crowned with the Kerrang! Inspirational Award for their role as pioneers of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal and the impact they have with heavy metal music all over the world. Also Queen members – Brian May and Roger Taylor – were presented with the Kerrang! Service To Rock as tribute to their five-decade-spanning career.

The Relentless Award was given to British band Young Guns and Venom were presented with the Kerrang! Icon Award.

On the night, Slayer (awarded with the Kerrang! Legend Award) appeared for the first time in public after the tragic death of guitarist and founding member Jeff Hanneman.

Fall Out Boy were nominated for the Best Single Award twice, with “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)” and “The Phoenix”, the winner single. The band accepted the award via video message.

Americans Pierce The Veil were the ones who took home the Best Video Award for their song “King For A Day” featuring fellow friend Kellin Quinn, Sleeping With Sirens lead singer. Although both bands lost to Of Mice & Men for the Best International Newcomer, with frontman Austin Carlile picking up the award.

Presenters on the night included: Slipknot, Asking Alexandria, Jill Janus (Huntress), Benji Webbe (Skindred), Rolo Tomassi, Pure Love and comedians Diane Spencer and Bobby Mair, along with Planet Rock's own Al Murray.

Kerrang! Magazine Editor James McMahon commented about the night - "What a night. What a night. People lost shoes. People lost phones. More so, people lost dignity. I can't think of any better way the 20th Relentless Kerrang! Awards could have been celebrated. There's been so many reasons to be excited about being a rock fan already this year. I'm genuinely fearful what mayhem the 2014 Awards will bring..."

Bullet For My Valentine announce UK Arena Tour

Bullet For My Valentine have just announced a UK Arena Tour in December of this year in a press conference held at Download Festival.

 

 

Lead singer Matt Tuck commented saying - "It's never something we expected that would happen. As much as we always had a dream of being in a band and doing arenas one day, ever since the ep and first full-length came out, it's been nonstop stop since. It's amazing, we're very happy! It's a very British lineup!"

Asking Alexandria and Young Guns will be the supporting bands.

Avion Roe new music video “The Escape”

The band Avion Roe is shooting a new music video called “The Escape”.
 

This is going to be the third music video of the band, having already released “Who I Am” and “The Difference Between Us”. According to the band´s website this video is going to be in 3D.
 

It has not been revealed a release date, but it was published on Facebook a behind the scenes photo.

Motionless In White has released a statement to explain the meaning behind their new music video “America”

 

“The video coupled with lyrics to the song America are about nothing more than the cold hard truth. Every image and character presented in this video were crafted by Clown and myself down to the finest of details to portray a metaphorical visual of all the messages the lyrics convey. The strung out popstar/actress, the corrupt, oil profit hungry politician, the glutton representing the fast food industry, the pedophile priest, the temptress women and so on. All characters clearly found within the lyrics. I’ve forever been a fan of the saying “art imitates life” and that was the main inspiration behind the concept. Working with Clown has been a highlight of both of my life and career. Brilliant and maniacal is his mind and I cannot imagine having brought my concept to anyone else to properly accomplish my vision. Truly a pleasure.

Motionless has never been a band to release a video that has been without our efforts to either open people’s eyes, change the way they perceive day to day life occurrences or to inspire someone to look past the obstacles in their way and conquer their hesitations to truly be happy with themselves.
