Last Witness confirmed their split, ending their seven-year musical career,
after a string of summer shows.
The band has confirmed that before splitting,
they will play one final show in London in September (the venue and the line-up
are still to be confirmed).
One of their last performances was at the
Download Festival of this year, on June 15, where they played at the Red Bull
Stage.
Here is the band´s statement:
"It’s over. After
reflecting on the future of the band, both collectively and as individuals, we
have decided that this is the end of the road for Last Witness. We have
achieved far more than we ever set out to seven long years ago.
The band has broadened our horizons both figuratively and literally. We have met some truly inspiring people, seen some amazing places, and had experiences (good and bad) that we’ll never forget. To everyone that has helped us along the way - there are too many people to thank - we are eternally grateful. Some things are better forgotten, but nothing lasts forever.
So this is the end. No reunions, no comebacks, no encores. Thank you for everything.
Theo Kindynis, Anthony Sykes, Connor Christie, Adrian Cecil
2006 - 2013"
