Kasabian Talk About New Album

Kasabian to release new album later this year, which is said to be an answer to everyone who has ever doubted them.

Here is what Tom Meighan had to say about this new record:

"The album is a real 'fuck you' to anyone who ever dares criticize or snarl at us, and say we can't do music like this," frontman Meighan says. "It's a real fucking 'up yours'. There are a lot of bands who try and do this kind of music but fail because they've got no songs."

"The process starts simple. Serge gets a demo and then we build on it, and then he mutates it with rocket fuel and liquid nitrogen and it's crisp and it's crack and it's smack," says Meighan of the steps taken to make a Kasabian song. "It's a dangerous, dangerous, dangerous, dangerous drug we've created. I can't get my head around it. It's rock 'n' roll, it's got the rawness and it's edgy, but it's gone back to electronics and we've gone beyond leftfield."

Meighan continues: "This is beyond anything we've ever done. We've gone hard, but this is beyond hard. This is hardcore. We want to put it out there and let people stew on it. Let them worry about it. Then tour the motherfucking hell out of it."
