Papa Roach Postpone South American Shows

Papa Roach had to postpone a number of South American shows due to the singer Jacoby Shaddix´s health.

The vocalist successfully underwent vocal cord surgery last year and after the unfortunate news made its way to South America, Papa Roach fans reacted with both support and vicious anger.

Shaddix writes:

TO ALL THE SOUTH AMERICAN FANS…….
I write this with a heavy heart. I have read a lot of posts about how you feel about us canceling our shows in S.A……….some are positive and some are extremely negative. ( Some went as far as saying we should die) WTF???!!! Trust me I would love to not have to deal with these vocal chord issues at all. Don’t forget I am a HUMAN not a MACHINE. When a guitar string breaks you change it but when a vocal chord breaks time and silence is the ONLY thing that heals it. I pray to GOD I don’t have to have surgery again. If you know anything about ME and PAPA ROACH is we always give it 100 percent. Sometimes that 100 percent breaks us. I would LOVE nothing more than to be in South America playing these shows. My HEART goes out to the people that bought bus and plane tickets to come see us. Your NOT ALONE we bought tickets down there too. (that are not refundable as well) As far as the money goes we would love to be able to do the shows in South America and get paid. In fact we are losing a ton of money by not going. But, my HEALTH comes first. I am doing the best I can. But in this case to some of you fans my best Is not good enough. I PRAY that you find it in your hearts to understand. And trust me we will reschedule and come to SOUTH AMERICA as soon as we can. I got nothin but love for ya!!!!!

Yeah I know I didn’t write in all caps this time… (Double clicking the CAPS sign over and over sucks HAHA)

LOVE,
JACOBY

According to Papa Roach’s official website, the band still plans to continue on with their upcoming 2013/2014 U.S. and European tour dates.

Nine Inch Nails Unveil “Copy Of A”

The studio version of Nine Inch Nails new song “Copy Of A” is now available on Youtube and Amazon where you can download it for free.

“Downward Spiral’ felt like I had an unending bottomless pit of rage and self-loathing inside me and I had to somehow challenge something or I’d explode,” Trent Reznor tells the Guardian. “I thought I could get through by putting everything into my music, standing in front of an audience and screaming emotions at them from my guts … but after a while it didn’t sustain itself, and other things took over – drugs and alcohol.”

Reznor continues, “And I’m happy that I don’t feel that way anymore. I’ve learned to recognize, a lot of it forced through the process of recovery that I’m wired wrong in certain ways, the chemical balance of my brain is off in terms of depression a little bit. This record was written as the other side of that journey. The despair and loneliness and rage and isolation and the not-fitting-in aspect that still is in me, but I can express that in a way that feels more appropriate to who I am now. And often that rage is quieter."

Hesitation Marks’ will hit shelves on Sept. 3.
